Ambubachi:- Ambubachi is a significant cultural and religious festival celebrated primarily in the state of Assam, India. The term "Ambubachi" literally translates to "the cessation of water" in Assamese, signifying the softening of the earth after the arrival of monsoon rains, which makes it fertile and ready for procreation. This festival holds profound importance in the worship of Devi Kamakhya, a Hindu goddess revered as the embodiment of feminine energy or Shakti. During Ambubachi, devotees observe a period of three days during which various restrictions are followed, such as abstaining from cooking, performing puja (ritual worship), reading holy books, and agricultural activities.
